5 Buying Tips For Grand Canyon Airplane Tours

By Paulette Neary

It is now spring and summer is right around the corner, which means that it's the perfect time to start planning a vacation. If you want this year to be extra special, then you will need a tour package that is like no other. For that, you don't need to look any further than Grand Canyon airplane tours from Las Vegas.

These tips come from my own experience, and I've used them to help thousands of vacationers plan the perfect trip.

#1 Book A Tour Online

Booking online is simple and convenient. You won't even need to leave your home to find the perfect tickets. Booking online doesn't just make things easier, but will also make your trip cheaper. You cut out any of the unnecessary booking fees that some agents add to ticket prices. Most importantly, when you pay with your credit card, you get all the benefits of booking online with a cheaper price, while also having peace of mind knowing that the tickets are locked in, and there will be no disappointment when you get to Las Vegas.

#2 Book Early

Many people take their vacations in the spring or summer, so it is a very busy time for airplane tours of the Canyon. For that reason, you should book your tour ahead of time, because if you don't, it might be sold out. Try to buy your airplane tour at least two weeks in advance, but better yet, go ahead and book it when you book your hotel reservations. Just don't forget about it until tour day rolls around. If you're lucky enough to get seats at a late date, you may have to pay a higher price if you buy them within 48 hours of the flight.

#3 Book a Window Seat

Although you will get a great view even from the first seat in, the real 'front row' seat is the window seat. Booking early will mean that you will have the opportunity to sit next to the oversized window, getting the best possible view of the Canyon.

#4 Choose A Landing Airplane Tour

Las Vegas flights are flyover-only, or landing. Landing is the better option, and I definitely recommend going with one of these tickets. This will really add to the package by giving you access to hiking routes and lookout points, souvenir shopping, the Grand Canyon Skywalk, or even a landing helicopter that takes you to the bottom of the West Rim.

#5 Head To The South Rim For A Unique Adventure

You can choose which rim you want to see when you take an airplane tour out of Vegas, so you may want to visit the South Rim. It takes around six hours to get to the South Rim from Vegas on a tour bus, but you can fly there in around an hour. Once you're there, you have the choice of touring the Canyon by airplane or helicopter. If you book the longer helicopter tour, you'll get to see the South Rim, North Rim, and all the park over to the eastern border. In all, you'll get to see 3/4 of the entire National Park. It's a very scenic tour that takes you over many of the notable landmarks in the Canyon, so it is worth the price.

Conclusion

I hope this information has helped you to make the most informed decision regarding your air tour. Remember that you have plenty of options, just book online and book early to ensure you get the best flights at the best prices.
